Product overview

How Sieve works

Sieve keeps simple searches simple and saves AI for bigger questions.

What it does

Sieve reads your query with a small set of rules in your browser. It does not use AI to make the choice.

Quick facts, websites, prices, weather, and short searches go to classic search. Writing, planning, comparing, and detailed questions can go to an AI assistant.

You stay in control

Classic search is the default when Sieve is unsure. You can also choose directly: press Enter for classic search or Ctrl + Enter for an AI assistant in the extension search box.

Available options

Privacy

The choice happens on your device. Sieve does not send your query to a server to decide where it goes. Your extension settings and recent searches stay in your browser.

For developers

A public API returns the same choice as the extension: GET /api/public/classify?q=your+query.
